This workout routine focusing on upper body is inspired from my visit to Laguna Beach this weekend. It’s full body Dead Lifts with and emphasis on chest immediately after with the Olympic Incline Press.
You will be 100% more effective with your workouts if you have a written plan. Commit to your written workout plan and bring the intensity..!
Warm up: 10 push ups, 10 pull ups (use leg band if needed), 10 sit ups, 10 lunges, 10 Diamond push ups, and 1k row
Upper Body Chest Workout Routine:
- You will do 20, 15, 10 and 5 of your body weight Dead Lifts and your body weight Olympic Incline Press. Modify the weight if needed.
- 20 reps Dead Lifts
- 20 reps Olympic Incline Press
- 15 reps Dead Lifts
- 15 reps Olympic Incline Press
- 10 reps Dead Lifts
- 10 reps Olympic Incline Press
- 5 reps Dead Lifts
- 5 reps Olympic Incline Press
This is a timed workout, have your dead lift bar and your incline press loaded with your body weight, and spotter if needed. Post your time and what weight/modifications you used.

Did a double workout today! Ran 10 hills and 10 push ups at the top for a total of 100. had the kids do it with me, not happy campers
Joe and i did the wod at Crossfit Santa Barbara, I want to thank Tyler and Madeline for their hospitality. Did Clean and Jerk! 7 sets of 3 reps.
Got to 185, not bad for an old guy!
Just got back from a 3 days wedding! Way too many alcoholic drinks but I manage to pull it together and finish last Friday’s work out.
1 cycle= 2 rounds+ 7 sumo dead lift high pulls
2 cycle= 2 rounds+ 7 sumo dead lift high pulls
3 cycle= 2 rounds+ 7 sumo dead lift high pulls
4 cycle= 2 rounds+ 7 sumo dead lift high pulls+1 thruster
